RFID Readers
To read RFID tags electronically you need an RFID reader! We offer both fixed and handheld readers.
Fixed readers are fitted to a shute and are made up of an antenna connected to a reader box, while our handheld readers offer flexible solutions.
X6 Stock Recorder
Introducing the Pocket Size Shearwell X6 Stock Recorder.
The Shearwell X6 is our next generation handheld Stock Recorder device for cattle and sheep. It provides users with a lightweight, ergonomically designed device to capture on-farm management data.
It works seamlessly with our FarmWorks Classic software and with its built-in RFID tag reader, you can use the X6 to record breeding, births, weights, treatments, movements and much more. The X6 is rugged, reliable and easy to use.
Stick Reader & Accessories
Our Stick Reader and Stock Recorder both feature self-contained readers.
The Stick Reader can either be used on its own to record tag reads that can be downloaded later to a desktop computer or phone app or can be linked with a phone running one of our apps or a weigh head to record more detailed information.
Fixed Panel RFID Readers
Shearwell’s modular Race Readers, with large and small versions, are suitable for both sheep and cattle.
The RFID number can be sent by Bluetooth to a Shearwell app for fast, hands-free recording. Designed to cope with a high volume of animals, these units can be expanded as required.
